Flutist Bettina Junge, founding member and long-time artistic director of ensemble mosaik, founded in 1997, had a significant influence on both the ensemble and the Berlin music scene through her tireless dedication and artistic vision. Active with the ensemble until the very end, she passed away on 17 July 2024 after a long illness. In memory of this exceptional figure in musical life, ensemble mosaik organised a concert in 2025 and will present the second part on 18 July 2026 with a »songbook for bettina«. Composers with whom Bettina maintained close artistic collaborations and friendships will contribute short tributes for the entire ensemble. Stefan Streich, a long-time close collaborator of Bettina and the ensemble, will shape the second half of the concert with another world premiere dedicated to her. After the concert, the audience is invited to join the ensemble in a convivial gathering to mark the second anniversary of her passing.
